Construction Underway in Uptown
We have begun construction on the Wilson Yard development in Uptown! This exciting community blends residential, retail and commercial space complimenting the architectural heritage of Uptown.
Wilson Yard is named for a former CTA rail yard, which is one of four parcels acquired for this six acre, mixed use development. The project features a 180,000 square foot Target and an Aldi grocery store, 178 affordable apartments, 700 parking spaces, and 30,000 square feet of other retail, office space, and restaurants.
Currently on-schedule, we expect construction on the housing component to be completed in April 2010. The major retail is scheduled to open in July 2010.
