Strand Apartments

Originally built in 1914, the Strand Hotel became part of a thriving business distric, which served as a major center for Chicago's south side. The Hotel also became a true entertainment destination on Chicago's south side and featured many popular acts over the years, including BB King, Sony Rollins, Louis Armstrong and other famous jazz musicians. In 2013, the Strand was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
